Goodman that will hang at the entrance of the steakhouse. The artwork will be unveiled on <strong>Thursday, June 20 at 5 p.m., <\/strong>with Oscar Goodman making the celebratory toast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Created in Palmer\u2019s signature style, the commissioned piece is a custom acrylic portrait on canvas measuring 48 by 48 inches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is a true honor to be asked to paint the iconic Oscar Goodman for the Plaza Hotel &amp; Casino,\u201d said Palmer. \u201cBeing raised in Las Vegas, I feel that he is one of the most legendary faces in the city. I was asked to use my staple colorful, abstract portraiture style, and I am so excited to present it to the property and the former mayor!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long known as a staunch supporter of incorporating thought-provoking pieces of art at the Plaza, most significantly with three 21-story murals on the exterior of the North Tower, Plaza CEO Jonathan Jossel sought out Palmer for the piece. \u201cBrittney is a distinguished artist with a unique and colorful style that will add a modern flare to the vintage Vegas ambiance of Oscar\u2019s steakhouse,\u201d said Jossel. \u201cThis project was a great way to support a local artist who continues to make a name for herself in the art world, and to pay tribute to Oscar after 12 years of partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goodman added, \u201cI love the burst of color. It captures my persona at Oscar\u2019s. A place of fun and energy. Just what Las Vegas is all about.
